Project Spotlight
Emma Martin - Keep it to Yourself
Getting started early with her music career when she was just 15, singer/songwriter Emma Martin has been a frequent visitor to Tympanic Media. Over the last 2 years we've produced several singles for her. The latest, "Keep it to Yourself" is available on Apple Music and YouTube. Don't forget to also check out her previous tunes, like "u always won" and "How I Turned Out Like This"
Her creativity, lyrics, and songwriting are impressive for any age, but at just 17 this young talent constantly amazes us. We can't wait to see what she'll get up to next!
Martin Amini - I'm Transcending
Comedic sensation Martin Amini has been taking social media and audiences alike by storm in the last year. With his rise in popularity and influence, a full blown comedy special was a inevitable, and it only makes sense that he would return to his home town for it. If you haven’t watched the new special, ‘I’m Transcending’ you can do it right now on YouTube! We had the honor of recording it at the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C., and mixing it at Tympanic. We’re all so proud of this amazing show. Click Here to see for yourself!
Breaking from Classical Traditions
We had the privilege of hosing the incredible Violist Lauren Spaulding for her progressive solo project. Lauren plays in several ensembles, including the Talla Rouge Duo, and the Thalea String Quartet. Her ensembles are currently in residence at such prestigious universities as Harvard and the University of Maryland, respectively. In pre-production, we discussed the merits of breaking with classical music video recording traditions, and took a leap to design a beautiful lighting backdrop that would showcase the many moods and colors of the first movement of the Cassado cello suite. Click Here to watch her play the Cassado cello suite, reimagined for viola.
